WHY THIS PODCAST?

The When I Grow Up Podcast explores people's career journey from their very first dreams as a child to where they have ended up.

I believe that we can find what we truly love in any career field and it's my mission to give listeners hope that they can find a career they truly love by tapping into the "why" of their "when I grow up" story.

By hearing from you (and others who love what they do), listeners get to hear the wide variety of career journeys and gain permission to lean into their values and purpose beyond a job title. By joining me in this podcast, you get the chance to inspire others to pursue w

WHAT WE COVER

This podcast is about you (not your company). Listeners need to hear real stories about the careers that exist in this world and how people have found what they love.

Every podcast episode covers these 3 questions:

  1. What did you want to do when you grew up?

  2. What do you do now?

  3. How did you get there?

Outside of those questions, we follow the flow of conversation. This might include conversations about:

  • Why you love your job

  • Challenges you've faced along the way and how you've dealt with those

  • Advice for people interested in your line of work

  • What it actually means to do what you do

  • I record episodes months in advance. I can give you an accurate estimate for your episode's release date when we meet.

  • It's important to me to honor and respect any boundaries set by my guests and/or their workspaces. Please let me know ahead of time which topics are off limits and I will ensure these are not discussed during the podcast.
